The challenge

The challenge of decarbonization depends largely on large companies and their supply chains. However, climate data remains scattered, difficult to read and rarely updated. The need for a common framework to monitor, compare and improve climate efforts is becoming strategic for industrial groups as well as for distributors.

The activity

OpenClimat has developed a SaaS platform that centralizes corporate climate information in order to make it accessible, standardized and understandable for all their stakeholders (customers, media, citizens, employees, candidates, etc.). The company offers two complementary SaaS offers: Corporate Membership, intended for groups such as Bel, L'Oréal, LVMH or PepsiCo, which gives access to climate analysis and communication tools, and Retailer Membership, adopted by Carrefour, E.Leclerc, Auchan or Casino, which provides suppliers with climate management tools. In 2025, the solution became the market reference for distributors thanks to a national call for tenders won by Perifem. It will be deployed with 3,500 suppliers in 12 countries via a structuring partnership with Auchan Monde.

The impact

OpenClimat makes it possible to structure and massify the adoption of good climate practices in value chains. By making this information visible, comparable and actionable, the platform encourages companies to take concrete steps to reduce emissions, while generating knock-on effects on their suppliers.

What we liked

We were convinced by the systemic vision of the founders: to create a climate standard at the sectoral level via a simple, robust and scalable platform. Commercial success with retailers and large groups demonstrates a strong market need and a model with strong international scalability, in particular thanks to a go-to-market driven by French retailers. OpenClimat perfectly embodies the role of catalyst for change that we are looking for in our investments.
