ESG management has become an essential criterion for asset managers, subject to increasing regulatory (SFDR, Taxonomy) and societal pressures. However, the complexity of the data, the lack of integrated tools, and the fragmentation of sources make this task difficult to industrialize. There is a growing need for robust and flexible technological solutions, capable of making ESG actionable on a large scale, while adapting to the specific constraints of each actor.

The activity

Weefin is developing SaaS ESG data management software for asset managers. Its “ESG Connect” platform centralizes data, automates compliance processes, and facilitates the customization of ESG reporting at the enterprise level. Thanks to a modular approach, the solution allows large funds (Axa IM, Natixis IM, Generali...) to consolidate and enrich their ESG data and improve their responsible investment strategy, while complying with European regulatory standards. The team is experienced, with a strong business and tech culture, coming from finance (BNP Paribas, Rothschild, Natixis) and data.

The impact

Weefin's mission is to place sustainability at the heart of institutional investment, by empowering financial players to better integrate ESG criteria into their decisions. Its solution allows dozens of European players to align their portfolios with clear environmental goals, with better transparency and active management of climate and social risks.

What we liked

The company has proven its excellent commercial traction with a very high average basket per customer thanks to the acquisition of new accounts and the deployment of additional modules among existing customers. Convinced by the founding team, we quickly believed in their ability to establish themselves as the ESG standard for European asset managers. In 2025, Weefin raised €25 million from Blackfin, valued at €90 million post-money, confirming its status as a European leader in its segment
